Local Public Broadcast TV: CCSF's Accredition Situation

Local Public Broadcasting News Show Updates CCSF Situation

Did ACCJC Commission change CCSF's Fate?

SF Gate reported the full 19 person ACCJC made a change in policy on revoking accreditation at their June 6 Sacramento, CA meeting.  No specifics were revealed by the ACCJC when a copy of the policy change was requested by the California Comunity College Chancellor's Office.  It's not clear when the new policy will be made public or how it will impact CCSF.

Two days earlier CCSF Chancellor Arthur Tyler and California Community College Chancellor Brice Harris asked the same commission not to close CCSF as 95% of CCSF's problems were fixed.  If the commission agrees to extend the deadline, they would overrule their own accrediting unit's decision to disaccredit CCSF on July 31st.
